Mother’s Day

Women. They are our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, aunts, and friends.

They inspire us, raise us, teach us, nurture us, protect us, and so much more. On the second Sunday in May, children of all ages treat their mothers to something special. It is the one day out of the year when children, young and old, try to show in a tangible way how much they appreciate their mothers.  Moms work hard all year long caring for their children. They fix meals; help with homework; wash clothes; clean house; heal physical wounds; sooth emotional hurts; teach lessons of life; attend recitals, concerts, and sports games; host parties; act as chauffeurs; etc. One day a year, it’s Mom’s turn to be pampered.  Mother’s Day did not become an official holiday until 1915.

Taking Mom out for Mother’s Day lets her enjoy a lovely meal that she doesn’t have to shop for, cook or clean up after.  It is a great way to show your appreciation for everything that she does.

Mom is queen of her castle.  A unique gift for her would be to have a room or two Creatively Transformed.  Interior redesign, is a budget friendly solution to bring new life into a space in need of a change. Go shopping in your home – removing pieces from one room that has held more than its share of furniture and giving them new function in another room can change the look of both rooms. Adding new accessories, changing the wall color and a new window treatment, can add new life to both spaces, extend the life of the re purposed pieces and is a budget friendly interior redesign!

How will you honor the women in your life this Mother’s Day?
